Promotional copy for waytoUA charity launch
Doing good and helping others is something that has always been close to my heart - in both a professional and a personal sense. I mean, I think it should be something close to everybody’s hearts, especially in a world that can be pretty damn tough at times.
I’m by no means pitching it as some sort of USP of mine - but still, making a difference, huge or minute, is important to me.
So, when a colleague at a previous job approached me to tell me about a project she was working on and to ask for my copywriting and content editing input, I was more than happy to volunteer.
The client: waytoUA - a charity concept designed to raise money to support Ukraine by selling virtual flights to Ukrainian destinations.
The flights weren’t real, of course, but the funds raised were to be donated to very real, very harrowing causes - the beneficiary being United24.
The brief: Landing page and email copy to convey the concept and encourage donations.
waytoUA is no longer an active charity but for the time it was running, its achievements were awesome to see:
694 tickets sold to 32 different destinations.
342 passengers brought ‘on board’.
€8,810 raised.
20 aid kits sent to the battlefield.
Funds contributed to the renovation of a war-torn school in Hostomel.
